How the Olmsted County Inmate Search Works
The roster at the top of this page is the Olmsted County inmate search tool for people currently in custody. The official public roster name is the ADC In Custody List, also described as the Adult Detention Center Jail In Custody List. Search is limited to currently in-custody individuals by first or last name text entry.
The public roster is limited to core custody information: legal name or first and last name, charge description, and offense level. Offense levels may include felony, gross misdemeanor, misdemeanor, or petty misdemeanor. The public roster does not display expanded booking fields such as mugshots, booking numbers, bail amounts, arrest dates, housing location, or projected release dates.
The Olmsted County jail roster is not the court docket and is not a court records search. Jail roster data is managed by the Sheriff's Office and shows current day in-custody status, while court records are managed by Court Administration and the Minnesota Judicial Branch. Before making a legal, payment, travel, or release-related decision, call the jail at 507-328-6790 to confirm the information.
Posting Bail at Olmsted County Jail

During those hours, accepted payment methods are cash, money order, or credit card.
After hours or on holidays, bail is handled at the Adult Detention Center reception lobby door off the circle drive at 101 4th Street SE, Rochester, MN. Depositors use the wall-mounted telephone receiver at the ADC lobby entrance to contact a deputy, then provide the exact bail amount for processing. After-hours ADC bail payments must be exact cash or money order only, and personal checks are not accepted.
Olmsted County accepts surety bonds if the bond is issued by an agent approved by the 3rd Judicial District of Minnesota. Confirmed release conditions may include Domestic Abuse No Contact Orders, electronic home monitoring, electronic alcohol monitoring, and GPS monitoring managed by D&O Community Corrections. Drivers responsible for released individuals may need sobriety verification or a breath test.
