Polk County Jail is a full-service county detention facility in Bolivar, Missouri. Danny Morrison is the Sheriff, and Jennifer Harris is the Jail Administrator.

The original 1978 facility had a capacity of 16 prisoners. A 1996 expansion increased the official capacity to 36.

Posting Bond at Polk County Jail

The court sets the bond amount, bond type, and release conditions. Before attempting to post bond, use this confirmed process:

2. If using a commercial bond company, confirm that the agent holds the required license, appears on the Missouri Department of Commerce and Insurance weekly electronic list, and has no pending suspension proceeding or unpaid bond-forfeiture judgment. 3. Obtain personal approval from the presiding judge if the bond exceeds $50,000 or is offered by a surety that does not charge a fee.

Visitation at Polk County Jail

Visitation takes place on Sunday, and advance scheduling is required. All inmate visits are conducted by video through CIDNET or, with approval, through the Lobby Kiosk.
