Andrew County Jail, also known as the Andrew County Detention Center, is an 84-bed local jail and detention center in Savannah, Missouri. Grant Gillett is the Andrew County sheriff, and Shelly Gatewood is the jail administrator.

The facility houses pretrial detainees, sentenced inmates, people on 24-hour investigative holds, work-release participants, trustees, state and regional transfers, and individuals held under federal ICE detainers.

Posting Bond at Andrew County Jail

The court determines the bond amount, bond type, and release conditions. Before attempting to post bond, confirm the person's full name, current custody status, charges, case number, bond amount, accepted bond type, and posting location with the Andrew County Detention Center.

Andrew County Jail accepts surety bonds through qualified bonding agents. The jail refers users to the master bonding-agent registry maintained by the Missouri Office of State Courts Administrator when locating an eligible bonding agent.

Sending Money to an Inmate

NCIC is used to add funds to inmate accounts. A physical deposit kiosk is located in the Andrew County Sheriff's Office lobby at 400 East Main Street in Savannah.

Turnkey Corrections provides commissary service. Orders must be submitted before Sunday at 10:00 p.m., and commissary deliveries are made on Tuesday and Thursday.

Unclaimed commissary must be collected within five business days after an inmate's release.

Inmate Communication

Inmates at Andrew County Jail cannot receive incoming telephone calls. They must place outgoing calls using an assigned PIN, and NCIC Inmate Communications manages prepaid calling accounts.

Andrew County criminal cases are handled within Missouri's 5th Judicial Circuit, which serves Andrew and Buchanan counties. The circuit includes Circuit and Associate Circuit divisions.

The Circuit Division hears its criminal docket on Tuesdays. The Associate Circuit Division hears criminal and traffic dockets on Tuesdays. Documents filed before July 1, 2023, are not remotely accessible and must be viewed through courthouse terminals. Juvenile, adoption, and mental-health records are confidential.
