How the Cole County Inmate Search Works

The roster at the top of this page serves as the Cole County inmate search tool. It displays current custody information and is synced directly from official booking data.

The roster is not a court docket. Missouri Case.net is the court-case information system for reviewing available charges, case status, scheduled hearings, docket entries, dispositions, judgments, and court financial history.

Cole County does not guarantee the accuracy of information provided through its online systems. Confirm custody, bond, transfer, or release information with the detention center before taking action.

Posting Bond at Cole County Jail

The court sets the bond amount, bond type, and release conditions. Before making a payment, confirm the inmate’s full name, current custody status, case number, bond amount, and accepted bond type.

Online bond payments are supported through AllPaid, formerly known as GovPayNet. Credit cards are accepted for online bond payments through the service.

Release through a licensed bail bondsman is also permitted. The facility provides inmates with a list of registered bail bondsmen.

Call the jail at 573-634-9160 to confirm where the bond must be posted and verify payment requirements before traveling to the detention center or courthouse.

Sending Money to an Inmate

Access Corrections is the designated platform for deposits into an inmate’s general trust account. HomeWav maintains separate telephone and communication accounts.

An inmate’s general account may be funded through:

  • Access Corrections online
  • The jail lobby kiosk
  • Telephone deposits at 636-888-7004
  • An approved money order sent by mail

A mailed money order must be payable to the inmate’s name and addressed as follows:

Cole County Jail [Inmate Name] P.O. Box 426 Jefferson City, MO 65102-0426

The inmate must request and receive a mail exception before the money order arrives. Cash and other unauthorized forms of money are returned to the sender.

Debit- or credit-card deposits may take three to five business days to appear in the inmate’s account, depending on the sender’s banking institution. Lobby kiosk deposits carry a $4 fee per transaction. Mailed money orders do not carry a deposit fee.

Trust-account funds may be used to purchase approved commissary items. Commissary deposits are separate from HomeWav communication funding and bond payments.
