About the Christian County Jail
The Christian County Detention Center, also referred to as Christian County Jail, is a local county detention facility at 110 West Elm Street in Ozark, Missouri.
The facility may house pretrial detainees, sentenced county and municipal inmates, people serving 24-hour warrant holds, probation or parole violators, and individuals being held for Missouri Department of Corrections transport. Municipal police departments within Christian County, including the Nixa Police Department, and state agencies such as the Missouri State Highway Patrol may also use the facility.
Brad Cole is the Christian County Sheriff. Captain Colton Craig serves as division commander, and Emily Tompkins is the interim lieutenant.

How the Christian County Inmate Search Works
The roster at the top of this page serves as the Christian County inmate search for people currently held at the Christian County Detention Center. It is synced directly from official booking data.
The roster displays each inmate’s name, booking number, booking date and time, charge, and bond amount. Names appear in uppercase letters in last-name, first-name, and middle-initial format. Booking dates use the YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM format.
Users can select “Sort by Date” and move through numbered roster pages. The roster does not include an alphabetical index, direct name-search box, or released-inmate search.
Mugshots, age, sex, race, release dates, and arresting agencies are not displayed on the main roster. Confirm custody, transfer, release, charge, or bond information with Jail Operations before taking action.
The detention roster is an administrative custody record, not a court docket. It shows physical presence at the detention center, temporary booking charges, and listed bond amounts. Missouri Case.net is a separate court-case information system, not an inmate roster.
Posting Bond at Christian County Jail
The court determines the bond amount, bond type, and release conditions in a Christian County criminal case. The detention roster may display a bond amount, but the jail does not set the court’s bond terms.
Surety bonds and licensed bonding agents are accepted. A bonding agent must be properly licensed and must not have an unsatisfied judgment within Missouri’s 38th Judicial Circuit.
Release conditions may include:

- Committing no new criminal offenses

Sending Money to an Inmate
Inmate trust-account and commissary deposits may be made through InmateDeposits.com. A lobby kiosk is also available for deposits into inmate trust accounts.
Telecommunications accounts are funded separately through HomeWAV. A HomeWAV kiosk is available in the detention center lobby.
Do not send cash, checks, money orders, or other monetary items through the mail. Monetary items received through the mail are not accepted and are returned to the sender.
Trust-account deposits, telecommunications funding, and bond payments are separate transactions. Depositing money into an inmate account does not pay or reduce a court-ordered bond.

Inmate Communication
HomeWAV LLC provides inmate phone and video communication services at the Christian County Detention Center. Inmates cannot receive incoming calls and must place outgoing calls through HomeWAV Voice.
Family members may create a HomeWAV account through the provider’s website or mobile app. Video calls are also available through HomeWAV.
For an urgent family emergency, contact Jail Operations at (417) 582-1976. A jail supervisor must verify the emergency with a hospital, coroner, funeral home, or another relevant provider before delivering a message to the inmate.

Visitation at Christian County Jail
On-site visitation is available seven days a week. Visits must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance and approved by the detention center.
- An inmate may receive up to two on-site visits per day.
- Visitors under 18 must remain accompanied by an adult with a valid, approved HomeWAV account.
- Visitors must wear clothing considered appropriate around small children.
HomeWAV provides video visitation through terminals in the detention center lobby and through remote online or mobile-app connections.

Christian County Court Information
Christian County is served by Missouri’s 38th Judicial Circuit. Court assignments and locations depend on the case type and division.
Felony cases are handled by Circuit Court Division I, presided over by Presiding Judge Laura Johnson, and Circuit Court Division II, presided over by Circuit Judge Jessica L. Kruse. Divisions I and II are located in the Christian County Circuit Court Building at 102 W. Walnut Street in Ozark.
Misdemeanor, probate, and traffic cases are handled by Associate Circuit Court Division IV, presided over by Associate Circuit Judge Doug Bacon. Division IV and the Circuit Clerk’s Office are located in the Christian County Justice Center at 110 W. Elm Street.
Municipal ordinance violations are handled by the applicable municipal court division. The Ozark Municipal Court is presided over by Judge Jason W. Johnson, and its courtroom is at 203 B East Brick Street in Ozark.

Detained defendants may participate through interactive video technology connecting the detention center and courtroom. Under Missouri Supreme Court Rule 24.01, an arraignment may be conducted through interactive video with the defendant’s consent.
