Visitation Hours at Ramsey County Jail

The Ramsey County Adult Detention Center offers two types of visits: on-site visits at the facility and remote video visits from any location. Both types are managed through Securus Technologies, and both require a reservation at least 24 hours in advance. Walk-ins are not accepted.

Each visit is limited to 20 minutes. On-site visits are free of charge. Remote video visits cost $7.99 per 20-minute session.

Former Inmates

If you were previously incarcerated at the Ramsey County Adult Detention Center, you are barred from visiting any inmate for 60 days following your own release date.

How to Send Money to an Inmate

Deposited funds are used for commissary purchases - hygiene products, snacks, stationery, and stamps - along with phone and video services and applicable medical co-pays. A $25 booking fee is assessed upon entry and is typically deducted from the inmate's account before other funds are accessible.

Ramsey County processes deposits through JPay. Funds sent online or by phone typically post by the next business day.

Method 1 - Online Through JPay

Method 2 - Money Order by Mail

The Ramsey County Adult Detention Center is a local adult detention facility operated by the Ramsey County Sheriff's Office under Sheriff Bob Fletcher, with jail administration handled by Under Sheriff Ashlee Bryant.
