How to Search the Redwood County Jail Roster
Use the search bar at the top of this page to find anyone currently held at the facility. You can search by full legal name, booking number, or charge. Names appear as last, first, middle - if your first search returns nothing, try the last name only.
Each record shows the person's booking number, intake date and time, age, sex, charge statute and description, offense level (F = Felony, G = Gross Misdemeanor, M = Misdemeanor), and bail amount.
The roster reflects physical custody only. It does not include court case history, past bookings, or records for people who have already been released. For case history, use Minnesota Court Records Online (MCRO) at publicaccess.courts.state.mn.us.
Why Someone May Not Appear Yet
A new arrest will not show up immediately. The individual must complete full booking first - fingerprinting, photography, and medical screening - which can take one to several hours.
Check back in a few hours, or call (507) 637-1313 to confirm custody status directly.
Reading the Bail and Hold Fields
If you see $0.00 bail but the person remains in custody, they likely have a hold from another agency - a probation violation, an out-of-county warrant, or an A&D order - that prevents release regardless of local bail.
A Rule 8 or Omnibus notation refers to an upcoming felony hearing type, not a release status.
How to Post Bail for a Redwood County Inmate
Once you confirm the bail amount on the roster above, call (507) 637-1313 to verify the exact figure and whether it is cash-only or bond-eligible before going anywhere.
Processing after bail is posted typically takes 30 to 60 minutes in a facility of this size, though it may run longer during shift changes in the early morning, mid-afternoon, or late night.
Release conditions set by a judge - such as no-contact orders, travel restrictions, or GPS monitoring - take effect immediately. Ask staff or the court what applies when you call to confirm.
Call the Jail First
Dial (507) 637-1313 and confirm the bail amount, release type, and whether any holds are attached before you leave.
