How the Le Sueur County Inmate Search Works
The Le Sueur County inmate search is the live roster at the top of this page. It is synced directly from official booking data and shows everyone currently in custody, so you do not need to go to another site to check whether someone has been booked into the Le Sueur County Jail.
Each record displays Photo, MNI, Name, Sex, Age, Booking #, Intake Date, Charges, and Bail/Bond. The bail/bond column breaks out Amount, With Conds, Bail Received, and Bond Received, and charges are shown alongside severity and status codes such as F, G, or M for felony, gross misdemeanor, and misdemeanor, plus status markers like COURT/PENDING, BOND/BAIL SET, SENTENCED, or HOLD FOR ANOTHER AGENCY. You can type a name, booking number, or charge keyword into the search box to filter the list in real time, and the "View Details" link opens the full record with statute references and any narrative bail language. Charge descriptions in the roster may appear truncated; the detail view shows the full text.
The roster reflects current custody only. It is not the court docket and is not the same as a court records search. Criminal case filings, hearing history, and judgments are maintained separately by the Minnesota Judicial Branch through Minnesota Court Records Online (MCRO), which offers Case Search, Document Search, Hearing Search, and Judgment Search tabs.
Posting Bail at Le Sueur County Jail
Bail amounts at the Le Sueur County Jail are set by the First Judicial District court, not by jail staff. The roster shows whether bail has been set and whether it has been received, but the controlling figure is the one on the court order. Before heading to the Justice Center with money, call the jail at 507-419-0321 to confirm the current bail amount, any conditions attached, and accepted payment methods for that specific booking.
The Justice Center is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and is closed on weekends and holidays. Under Minnesota Rule of Criminal Procedure 6.02, release conditions can include supervision, travel and residence restrictions, an appearance bond, cash or security, and other conditions tailored to the case. Minnesota statutes also authorize no-contact orders, firearm surrender, and alcohol restrictions in domestic and harassment cases (Minn. Stat. 629.72 and 629.715), DWI conditional release terms (Minn. Stat. 169A.44), and victim notification of release (Minn. Stat. 629.73). Luke Klein handles pretrial and adult felony supervision for the county.
Minnesota district courts accept appearance-only bail bonds, and only SCAO-approved agents, agencies, and sureties can issue a bond. If you are using a bondsman, confirm with them that they are SCAO-approved before paying a premium.
Sending Money to an Inmate
The Le Sueur County Jail uses Inmate Canteen for online deposits to an inmate's account. You create an account on the platform, search for the inmate by name or booking number, and fund commissary purchases and phone time from a card.
Cash and money orders are also accepted by postal mail to the facility address. Write the inmate's full name and booking number on the money order and envelope so the deposit is credited to the right account. The jail charges a $25.00 booking fee, and phone cards are sold through commissary at $21.90 including tax. For any other current fees or deposit limits, call the jail at 507-419-0321.
Inmate Communication
Phone service for inmates at the Le Sueur County Jail is provided by Reliance Telephone. To set up a collect calling account so an inmate can reach you, call Reliance at 800-896-3201. Inmates cannot receive incoming calls, so you cannot call them directly - all calls must be placed outgoing by the inmate.
The jail also maintains an inmate voicemail and messaging line at 507-216-4906, which you can use to leave a brief message for someone in custody. All inmate calls, messages, and mail are monitored except for confidential legal communication with an attorney.
To send mail, use the inmate's full name and booking number on the envelope and address it to Le Sueur County Jail, 435 E Derrynane Street, Suite 1100, Le Center, MN 56057. Items not allowed by jail policy will be rejected at intake.

Le Sueur County Court Information
Criminal cases tied to bookings at the Le Sueur County Jail are handled by the Le Sueur County District Court, part of Minnesota's First Judicial District. The court sits inside the same Justice Center as the jail and handles arraignment, bail hearings, pretrial conferences, trials, and sentencing. Court Administrator Shannon Meyer oversees court operations.
Remote hearings in the First Judicial District are offered by telephone conference and Zoom, with ITV available on request through the local court. The controlling document for any hearing's date, time, and format is the hearing notice issued in the case; public observers who want to attend remotely should request access information from court administration. Le Sueur County also offers booking support at (507) 357-8260 for parties who lack suitable technology or internet access for a remote hearing.
The court publishes a public daily calendar as a searchable PDF. It is posted each business day at 7:00 a.m. and refreshed hourly through the day. The calendar only shows scheduled courtroom hearings, so it will not line up one-to-one with the jail roster. For full case history, filings, and judgments, use Minnesota Court Records Online; district courthouse public access terminals provide the most complete access to case records.
