A bail bondsman writing a bond in Ottawa County must be licensed in Oklahoma and registered with the Ottawa County Court Clerk. Some eligible Ottawa County court cases allow online payment of court fees and costs, but those payments are separate from jail bond and should not be treated as a way to post bond.

Sending Money to an Inmate
Ottawa County Jail uses Prodigy Commissary for inmate commissary funds. A Prodigy kiosk is available in the jail lobby at 28 B St SE in Miami and accepts cash, debit cards, and credit cards. Paper money orders are not accepted.
Commissary orders received after 10:00 AM Tuesday are processed with the following week's orders. Money remaining in an inmate's commissary account is available only to the inmate at or after release.

Ottawa County Jail inmates cannot receive incoming personal phone calls. Inmates place outgoing calls, and administrative staff do not transfer personal calls or take non-emergency personal messages.

Routine mail is inspected and converted to electronic format for inmate viewing. Standard personal letters and photographs are allowed. Photographs must be printed on photographic paper, cannot exceed 4 by 6 inches, and cannot contain graphic, suggestive, or inappropriate material.

Visitation at Ottawa County Jail

Inmates are permitted one 15-minute video visit per week. On-site lobby kiosk visits are free, with a maximum of two visitors per machine.
Visitor rules include:
- Adult visitors must present valid government-issued photo identification.
- Online registration requires an unedited headshot photo.
- Visitors are subject to identity verification and possible physical search.
- Clothing must be appropriate and cannot be unduly provocative, suggestive, or revealing.
- Anyone previously incarcerated at the Ottawa County Detention Center cannot visit an inmate for 90 days after release.
- Intoxicated visitors will be denied entry and may be subject to arrest.
