How the Jefferson County Inmate Search Works
The roster at the top of this page is the Jefferson County inmate search for people currently held at the detention center. Users can search by name, move through numbered pages, and switch between active in-custody inmates and recently released inmates.
Roster entries may display the inmate’s full name, booking date and time, custody status, charges, and a profile photo or mugshot. The separate “Released Inmates” view shows people discharged during the preceding 72 hours and may include the discharge date and time.
Roster records are governed by the Missouri Sunshine Law, Chapter 610, RSMo, and are provided for informational purposes without formal judicial certification. Call the direct jail line at (636) 797-5081 before acting on information involving custody, charges, bond, transfer, or release.
The jail roster is not a court docket. Missouri Case.net is a court-case information system that may show formal judicial filings, prosecutor-filed charges, scheduled court events, judicial orders, and case dispositions. A charge recorded during booking may differ from the charge later filed in court.
Posting Bond at Jefferson County Jail
The court determines the bond amount, bond type, and release conditions. Before attempting payment, confirm the inmate’s full name, current custody status, case number, bond amount, and accepted bond type.
Surety bonds are accepted through bonding agencies licensed by the Missouri Department of Commerce and Insurance and approved by the 23rd Judicial Circuit Clerk’s Office.
Call the direct jail line at (636) 797-5081 before traveling to confirm the accepted payment method and where the bond must be posted.
Sending Money to an Inmate
Access Corrections is used for online inmate commissary deposits. Commissary deposits are separate from bond payments and inmate phone-account funding.
A deposit kiosk is located in the Jefferson County Jail office lobby at 400 First Street, Hillsboro, MO 63050. The kiosk is available Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and accepts cash and credit cards.
Money orders may be delivered in person at the jail office lobby during the same hours. Each money order must be payable to the inmate’s full legal name. Money orders sent by mail are prohibited.
JailATM is used for electronic mail and picture correspondence, not commissary deposits.
