Posting Bond at Barry County Jail

Confirmed communication rates are:

• Voice calls: $0.35 per minute
• Video calls: $0.50 per minute
• Text messages: $0.50 per message

Contact the jail to confirm current inmate phone rules and whether inmates can receive messages or only place outgoing calls. Physical property drop-offs are prohibited except for postcards.

Visitation at Barry County Jail

Visits must be scheduled in advance by the inmate. Visitors must present a valid photo ID to administrative staff at the lobby window.

Visitors must follow these confirmed dress and property rules:

• Female visitors must wear a bra.
• Sheer, revealing, low-cut, or provocative clothing is prohibited.

• Sleeveless shirts, tank tops, spaghetti straps, and clothing exposing the shoulders or midriff are prohibited.
• Leggings, pajamas, and nightgowns are prohibited.
• Hooded clothing and swimwear are prohibited.
• Visitors may not enter barefoot.
• Clothing displaying obscene language or images involving drugs, sex, or violence is prohibited.
• Backpacks, wallets, purses, and handbags are not permitted in the visitation area.

Barry County Court Information

Criminal cases in Barry County are handled by Missouri’s Thirty-Ninth Judicial Circuit, which encompasses Barry, Lawrence, and Stone counties.
