How the Washington County Inmate Search Works
The roster at the top of this page is the Washington County inmate search tool. Use it to review current in-custody roster entries, including name, booking number, booking date, custody status, charges, and expanded profile details when available. The official roster names tied to this data are the Daily Jail Booking Report and Inmate Roster Report.
The Washington County jail roster may display booking number, booking date, custody status, charge information, bail or bond details, projected release date, and expanded details through the roster profile view. Some records may not display complete charge information, and bail or bond details can change after court action. For time-sensitive decisions involving bail, charges, custody, case numbers, or release information, confirm the current record with Washington County Jail at 651-430-7900.
The roster is not the court docket and is not a court records search. Jail roster data and court-record data are separate systems. Washington County District Court information is handled through the Minnesota Judicial Branch, including Minnesota Court Records Online and local courthouse or library public access terminals.
Posting Bail at Washington County Jail
Bail and release conditions are set by the court, not by Washington County Jail. Before coming to post bail, contact Master Control at 651-430-7900 to verify the person is in custody, confirm the exact bail amount, and confirm the case number. Warrants must be verified because delays can occur between court action and Sheriff's Office system entry.
During weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., bail is paid at Court Administration at the Washington County Courthouse. Weekdays after 4:15 p.m. and on weekends, bail may be handled at the Jail Administration window at the Law Enforcement Center. Out-of-county warrants may be handled 24/7 at the Jail Administration window, and the lobby kiosk in the main jail lobby is available 24/7.
For in-person window payments, Washington County accepts cash in the exact amount or a certified cashier's check in the exact amount, and personal checks are rejected. The lobby kiosk accepts cash bills of $20 or higher and major credit cards. Surety bonds are accepted from approved bonding agents if the individual is physically in custody at the facility when bail is posted.
To avoid delays when posting bail, call 651-430-7900 first, go to the jail lobby kiosk, select bail payment, deposit cash in exact bills of $20 or higher up to $1,000 or swipe a credit card up to $1,000, and notify Master Control immediately after the kiosk transaction. The kiosk fee for this bail transaction is $8.95. After Master Control alerts the shift sergeant, the sergeant audits the payment and begins physical release, which can take up to a couple of hours after transaction verification.
Common release conditions confirmed for Washington County include electronic monitoring, ankle-worn GPS devices, facial-recognition alcohol monitors, pretrial supervision, home visits, drug screening, search enforcement, and judicially mandated no-contact orders. Sentenced releases may include Work Release or Home Detention/EHM. After a court hearing, post-court release can take up to four hours while the jail receives official release paperwork and completes processing.
