About the Sequoyah County Jail

Sequoyah County Jail, also known as the Sequoyah County Detention Center, is located in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, and operated by the Sequoyah County Sheriff's Office. Larry Lane is the Sheriff, and Keysha Phelps is the Jail Administrator.

The county detention center houses pretrial detainees on felony and misdemeanor charges, sentenced county offenders, people being held for transfer to the Oklahoma Department of Corrections, ICE 287(g) holds, and tribal holds.

The Sheriff's Office inmate system is integrated with OK VINE, or Victim Information and Notification Everyday, as an informational notification resource separate from the live jail roster.

How the Sequoyah County Inmate Search Works

The roster at the top of this page is the Sequoyah County inmate search and is synced directly from official booking data. It shows people currently listed in custody and does not serve as a long-term historical release archive.

Available roster fields include a booking photograph or placeholder, full legal name, permanent Inmate ID number, booking date and time, age, sex, race, residing municipality, and itemized charges. Listed charges reflect booking information and do not establish guilt or a conviction.

Users can search by name, sort by booking date, move through paginated results, and review the Daily Booking Report or 72-Hour Booking Report for recent bookings.

If someone no longer appears on the current roster, the person may have been released or transferred, or the custody system may be updating. Before acting on time-sensitive custody, case number, bond, transfer, or release information, call the inmate information line at (918) 776-9028.

The jail roster and court records serve different purposes. The roster shows physical custody and booking information, while the Oklahoma State Courts Network (OSCN) provides court-case information for Sequoyah County. OSCN is a court-record resource, not an inmate roster or an alternative to the live jail search on this page.

Posting Bond at Sequoyah County Jail

The court determines the bond amount, bond type, and release conditions. Before attempting to post bond, call (918) 776-9028 to confirm the person's full name, current custody status, case number, bond amount, and accepted bond type.

For Sequoyah County District Court matters, judicial bond recordation is handled through the Sequoyah County District Court Clerk's Office, 120 E. Chickasaw Ave., Suite 205, Sallisaw, OK 74955. Physical custodial release is handled at the Sequoyah County Jail at 119 South Oak Street, Sallisaw, OK 74955.

For cash bonds handled by the Court Clerk, accepted in-person payment methods are cash, cashier's check, personal check, money order, and debit or credit card, including Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. Debit and credit card payments are also accepted by telephone. Payments by mail may be made with a cashier's check, personal check, or money order; cash must not be mailed.

Professional bondsmen must be licensed by the Oklahoma Insurance Department and registered with the Court Clerk. Bond paperwork must be completed, notarized, and include active case numbers when charges have been filed.

Commissary orders must be submitted by Friday before 4:00 PM. Unused account funds are returned only to the inmate at release. For weekend releases, remaining funds can be collected Tuesday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

Commissary deposits are separate from CityTeleCoin phone-account funding and from court bond payments.
