The White County Detention Center is a county jail in Searcy, Arkansas, operated by the White County Sheriff's Office. Sheriff Phillip Miller leads the agency, and Captain Clayton Edwards serves as jail administrator. The facility has an official capacity of approximately 380 people.

The detention center houses pretrial detainees, sentenced inmates, municipal holds, inmates awaiting Arkansas Division of Correction placement, other agency or county holds, and federal detainees held for the U.S. Marshals Service. Posting Bail at White County Jail

Detainees may contact a professional bail bondsman during intake and booking. The White County Circuit Clerk records surety bonds. Under Arkansas law, professional bail bond companies must collect the full 10% premium upfront before the defendant is released.

White County Court Information

Felony cases in White County are handled by the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit Court, Division 2. Misdemeanors, traffic violations, minor offenses, and first appearances are handled by the Twenty-Third State District Court through Searcy Division 2 and Beebe Division 1.

These courts handle first appearances, bail hearings, pretrial proceedings, trials, sentencing, and other case proceedings based on the charge and assigned court. A defendant's hearing notice controls the date, time, location, and format of the appearance.
